Earth Day Celebration
“The Earth does not belong to us. We belong to the Earth.”
With this thought, the morning at SETH ANANDRAM JAIPURIA GAURIGANJ AMETHI reverberated with excitement and enthusiasm of the students who were all geared up to create awareness of the environment thus celebrating the occasion of EARTH DAY on 22 April 2022. A Special Assembly was conducted on this occasion.
The main aim of the event was to motivate and spread awareness among the students on some of the ways to save MOTHER EARTH. A Go-Green activity was exhibited by the students and staff of the school where they were given hands-on practice for tree plantation and waste management on the school campus. On this occasion, students presented a song conveying the message to ‘Save Earth’. Bird feeding bowls and bird houses were made and kept on the school campus.
On this occasion, saplings were planted on the school premises. The students participated in various activities like painting competitions, collage-making competitions, etc.
The Principal, Ms. Smita Singh appreciated the students’ efforts and echoed their thoughts of imparting the need to save the Earth. While addressing the gathering, Ms. Singh told the students that our objective should be to maintain an environment of decency, quality and mutual respect for all other human beings and all other living creatures.
